Apple changed some things at a certain point in time where the charging pin in the connector changed (I believe - a little fuzzy on the details). Esentially, you could buy a new cord (as menioned above) or a converter. I bought a Scosche Passport from the Apple store, and it solved my problem.

I had to really push the people at the apple store and tell them exactly what I needed. Frankly, I would just order it online.

The new cord may be a more elegant solution, however, I would talk with someone who is using it in their infiniti before purchasing. That brandmotion seems to be for Fords.

The adaptor works well, but is a bit awkward to and makes it bulkier and harder to fit the phone/cord/adaptor into the center bin.

I e-mailed Brandmotion a couple of days ago and was told that their cord will work in other vehicles besides Ford. I have had the Scosche Passport for almost a year but don't like it that much. It sometimes gets disconnected if you hit a bump and will not work with some protective cases because the end is bulky. I actually ordered the Brandmotion cable yesterday to see if it works better. I'll let everyone know in a about a week how it works.

Griffin also makes a converter but according to their website, it has been discontinued. I have heard that it is better than the Scosche but I have not been able to find one.

I have used the Brandmotion in my Nissan, Chevy and Ford and it works fine in all 3...I think all they did was reroute one of the wires to accompdate the change Apple made...
