So I was looking at the FSM book page scans on here and it says firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 but everything else I've been reading says 1-5-3-6-2-4. Which is right?

I'm fairly certain the FSM is correct, not sure where the 1-5-3-6-2-4 order came from though

Me either but I've seen some sites that say it and even some forums on nico that say 153 not 123

If you had a crankshaft laying around you could figure it out, or even spinning your engine over by hand and see the order is of the pistons as they come to TDC.

I've got an engine with no compression on #3 so I"m trying to figure out which TDC is compression and which is exhaust so I was planning to get compression #1 and follow the firing order using the next TDC #3
