I was wondering if I was to get a N/A SR and wanted large injectors how would I increase my air to the engine so I dont run rich but have a perfect amount of air to fuel ratio? Is there a formula for this? Would a modiefied front mount intake with a laminar flow type fan pushing air into it help increase the air induction?

I was thinking maybe a rotational fan that operates at the speed the vehicle runs. The fan basically would be there to direct laminar fluidic flow of air into the front mount intake. As the car speeds up the air pushing on the front of the car operates the lubricated fan and in turn the fan directs the air into the intake. Rather than buying an eletric fan that constantly pushes air into the system. My only worry is that if I do get large injectors like 550 would I need a constant flow of large amounts of air? Or would a reactional fan from the current speed of the car be a better idea?

aahhhhh......hahahahahahahaha......You have got to be fu(king kidding..........ok obviously you are just trying to learn the basics so Im sorry for the comment. There are sites that explain how things work and a/f ratios etc,

Hey thanks for the site bub, never been there b4 im gonna go read up.

But basically im gonna assume the reason you need more fuel to the system for a turbo is because the compressed air in the system so a larger mixture is needed.

I was jsut trying to figure out how I would get a larger air to fuel mixture without using turbo.

Nitrous oxide...turbo...supercharger...these are your viable options for forced induction and getting more air into the engine. Honestly all the others are just gimmicks (no, the electric superchargers aren't going to cut it).

yes...NAWS....but dont use more than a 50 shot without a little tuning if you want it to last. I used a 60 shot on my ka but uh.......I dont see that motor anywhere around here anymore.:D Just make sure you research enough to know what are the best spark plugs to use and ignition and so on.

To bad forced induction is the best way to get more power out of the engine. I was jsut trying to come up with a viable way other than forcing air in to create better hoursepower. I dont liek the fact that a Turbo takes up like 3/4 of the bay space. I like a tidy empty bay. With just an engine in it. Or an engine and a simple supercharger. tloof is thinking about constructing a supercharger for a sohc engine KA I might consider that as long as it isnt to dificult to install and he supplies all the fabricated parts. I like a clean engine bay no matter how slow the engine is. But an Sohc is a blast from the past its an ugly mofo.

That would have to be one big ol' turbo to take up 1/4 of the engine bay.

IMO, nothing is more beautiful than an engine bay with a top mount turbo. Superchargers, now those take up some room!

Sure you can place a top mount turbo but think about it you have piping and you have to make room for the piping then you have to have an intercooler and correct em if im wrong but taht is another radiator like instrument that takes up place in the bay. Especially if you have the condensor for the A/C set up in the car. Its not only the Turbo that takes up space its teh whole system. The supercharger takes up less space overall.
