anybody ever change the core support? looks like there is welding and cutting involved. I need to replace upper section and sides where headlights install. How do the pros do this? heat the weld locationsand pry apart or plasma cutter or torch? i dont have any problem using a torch but are there certain places to cut to maintain integrity ?

You could try drilling out the spot welds, but you'll have to do some welding to get it all back together correctly.
