I have some front end damage, and I believe I'm going to have to change the core support. Is it welded in, or is it bolted on? Also, is the front steel bumper mounted to the core support itself, or is it bolted somewhere on the frame?

thanks guys

Spot welded, moron. The rebar is bolted to the sides of the frame rails, where yours sheared off. You going to finally fix that pig?

I'm in the process. So, Russ, you think I need a new core support as well as some new bolts welded in?

Rebar is going to be hard to get back on and bolts welded right. I'd ditch it completely. Less weight. Core support takes a little while to pull cleanly. Getting a new one in takes patience or a friend with skills who likes beer.

I don't know about the s13, but on the s14a the bumer support frame bolts on. And yes, core support gets welded on. Make sure you know what you're doing, because a f00ked up core support install results in gaps, gaps and more gaps!! (headlight area)

here's mine...bumper support bolts on right below.
