i would like to know if anyone has experience with corbeau FX1 (standard or wide (preferably wide)) How comfortable are they? does anyone make side mount, low seat rails that fit this seat?

also: Does anyone know if this seat will fit in the 'vert?

measurements of the seat:Shoulder area: 25"Kidney area: 20"Base area: 24"

thanks for any help

PS: i searched and only got pictures of the standard installed in a s13 hatch w/ stripped interior and a cage

I'm in the process of custom fitting DC2 type R Recaros in my vert, it measures

shoulder 21kidney area 20base 21

and it barely fits. The shoulder part is touching the sides of the rear plastic panels, when the seat is in a comfortable position, so I would imagine that anything with the width of 25 would not fit. Or it would be so tight that you would have problems adjusting the seat position.

it is a fixed posistion bucket seat, so for me its put it in and dont adjust.

do you have any suggestions for seats that will fit in a 'vert that will accomidate a larger driver?

i am about 5'11" and about 280 lbs.

EDIT: i think i found a seat that will fit better and still fit me. http://www.soloracer.com/corbeauforza2.html

Based on the measurements of that seat it looks like the forza 2 will fit.

do you have a picture of the interior that shows how tight it was in yours?

i plan on getting a fixed bucket, so that might help in any clearance problems.

i cannot decide3 on which i wanna get. it depends on what i find out about comfort and durability.

I also need to find low mount rails for the seat. i know buddy club makes them for their seat but i ahve heard lots of negative reveiws about corbeau rails because they sit you realy high.... i need to sit LOW! i have a LONG back

edit: sorry about huge pic. i am at school right now and cannot save and resize and host on photobucket.... so i just hotlinked the image

I realize this is a very old thread, but for anyone looking @ said seats; they sit VERY high in the car! I'm 5'7" and i had to bend down to put my helmet on in my hatch. In my vert, i felt like i was riding on top of my car... just fyi.

just remember... seats are also **safety items** I'd personally hate to cheap out on something like this... its like buying a cheap helmet, then going stunt riding... not for me. I rocked a single seat for about a year, my passengers just had to hang on in the crappy stock seat

Ive sat int he Fx1's multiple times and I dont like there frame design. I rather sit in a fiberglass shell seat because those steel frames HURT!!!! especially for big guys.
