2009 Murano LE

Got a new phone recently. Synced it up with the car and noticed that my previously filled Murano Phonebook was empty. Scratched my chin on that for a few and then synced up my old phone. Lo and behold, Phonebook entries are still there. So it looks like the car keeps separate Phonebook entries for each synced phone (which upon further thought makes perfect sense).

Anybody know a way to copy the Phonebook entries from one "slot" in the car to another? I realize I could just push entries from the phone to the car again, but I figure it already has them.

Thanks.

It really depends on the brand and model of your phone, check out the link that was posted above!!!

It appears from the responses that my original question was unclear.

I am NOT trying to copy the phone book entries in my cell to my car. This I can do.

When you sync a cell phone with the Murano, the car gives you 40 or so slots that it has for phone book entries. I populated those entries in the Murano's phone book with a subset of entries from my old cell phone.

I then got a new cell phone and successfully synced that up with the car. But since it's a new phone, the Murano gives you a new set of 40 or so empty slots for the phone book in the car.

What I would like to do is copy the phone book entries already in the Murano but under the old cell phone "account" to the new cell phone "account" on the car.

Any help is appreciated.

I haven't done any of this as I have an Iphone and it can't transfer phones/names but looking at page 4-79 of the owner's manual, what does the 'copy from downloaded phonebook' option do?

The manual is confusing, as you would think looking at the name of the command, that it's copying from a 'downloaded phone book' within the MO's system but the page's instructions talk about using it to download the phonebook from the cell phone? I thought the command 'transfer via bluetooth' is how you transfer contacts?...Like I said, I haven't done any of this but thought that command looked promising...
