okay, so im tryin to get ready for the hell-like summers we have here in the valley. so im picking up a Nismo thermostat, Rad cap and a new circuit sports aluminum overflow tank (mine is shot).

heres my question, the cooling panels that they sell. are those worth picking up? or are they more of a cosmetic thing. i mean the theory behind it makes sense to me. but i wasnt sure if they were really worth buying.

Just make sure to measure, then measure again, then once more...

Get an aluminum radiator, such as a Mishimoto or Koyo, etc.

as opposed to upgrading the rad and getting electric fans?

I'd probably do the radiator. But the clutch fan I think works well. It's always spinning and failure rate seems fairly low. Instead of spending the money on E-fans, I'd get one of those cheap oil coolers from summit racing.

Get two oil coolers with fans. One for oil, then disconnect the heater core and plumb it to the second cooler as a second radiator.... When I had cooling issues this lowered my water temp 25 degrees.

Mount under the bumper in a place where the hot air does not enter the engine bay. Also ceramic coated intake piping and header or header wrap works wonders.
