I was wondering about the cooling system used in a RB25DET swap into the S14. I would need an intercooler made for the S14 and then have custom piping to attach to the intake manifold and the turbo. The radiator would be the same right? get one made S14 and find some hoses that will fit onto the motor.

Thanks guys

Wail

Use the s14 radiator, it should connect just fine. The rb25 radiator is 2 or so inches too tall. You are going to have to get custom intercooler piping any way you look at it. Talk to Night, I think he sells the custom piping and a sweet intercooler as well.

Does the s14 radiator cool the RB efficently?

It should, but like anything else it all depends on how much hp you have. It would prolly be a good idea to get a Fluidyne radiator, but one for a 240sx.

I know that someone on this board installed thei rRB and used the RB's radiator. all they had to do was get some new mounting clips on it.

Well if Night is running fine with the stock KA cooling system on his RB, then a upgraded cooling system designed for the KA would obviously work better...So yeah, thats a good plan, and now you actually understand why it was a good one!

I'm telling you guys... some people just use the RB one. It's gotta be better than the KA's and comes free with the clip so why not just use it.

FYI alot of people who have cooling problems with SR's and RB's are running front mounts, the stock radiator dosent cool efficently when 300 degree air rushes through the radiator.

Theres a guy up in Oregon who did a rb20 swap and used the stock radiator, he said all you guys told him it wouldnt fit right, but it fits just fine. If you have a clip, its worth a try. As for that "onlyl .1 liter of displacement," the KA never had a turbo to worry about heating things up.
