cooling problem?

i just bought a '90 240 with the ka24. the problem is when i drive the car for a bit and then shut if off the coolent overflow tank is full and sounds like the coolent is boling. The temp gague does not go past half way and the car runs fine just wondering if this is something i should take care of quick. thank you for any help

Yes , you either have an air pocket in the cooling system or a sticking t-stat.

ok what is the t-stat and where is it on the car?
