My plastic cooling fan (mechanical/orginal) recentl y broke off my engine while driving. I decided to put a elcetric cooling fan on for the time being. I really don't like the elcetirc cooling fan, due to the noise, and the pull on my elctircal system. I would like to replace the orginal fan, but i cannot find the part anywhere. I have looked into putting a universal aftermarket fan on my truck but I am not sure what size it needs and/or which way it needs to rotate. Has anyone tried this or know an anwser to my question/problem. I have a 1984 Nissan 720 2.4L.

most people just switch to electric when they go. You can put a switch to it and only run it when needed. Otherwise try the classifieds on here, or your local junkyard. you could measure your clearances within your shroud and go with a flexilite or some other after market fan from your local parts store. I think the rotation from memory is clockwise when looking at it.

Thanks for the reply. I added a electric fan but I am not happy with the results. I think i am going to get a flex - lite but I wasn't sure of the rotation or the size.
