I've made a thread about 2 weeks ago in the M35 sub-section but this problem isn't specific to that model so I'm hoping for everyone to chime in (more traffic here). I'm having a problem where the fans don't spin. They want to but aren't unable to due to lack of power, I believe. Take a look below:
The Fan Control Module is receiving 12V and the Output to both fans is 12V (See Below) not my actual module
Now, the car is at normal temperature and have the A/C running, both fans should be spinning. When I remove ONE of the fans from the module, the connected fan shows much more activity and starts to spin faster (but still at a slow speed) and when I read the voltage from the end of the module that's NOT connected, I get a reading of about 3-4V. This problem persists vice versa, I can connect the other fan and disconnect the other with the same outcome.
I've ran 12V directly to both fans from the battery and they spin very healthy. I'm hoping someone can guide me into figuring out exactly what part is bad without buying parts that I don't need.
