well for all of you trying to figure out a way to cool the rb beasts heres a solution that seems to be working well for me.i ordered a permacool 19114 cooling fan.14" 2950CFM'sdraws only 9.5 amps.the price?95$the fan is reversable so you can use it on an rb swap and it works great.i kinda splurged and got the hayden 60$ electronic thermostat to control it and it seems to be working quite nicely and also running after i shut the car down to keep cooling the rad. and engine.hasnt over heated yet and seems to cool the engine in a heartbeat.just a thought.

How loud is it? My Perma-Cool 12" high performance is louder than my N1 dual at idle.

Where did you get it from? Do they have one that comes with a thermostat

On a sidenote: i see everybody buying aftermarket thermostats, why can't we use the stock one.

I think they're $83 at summitracing.com, I used one on my turbo'd Probe GT for the last year and it works great....at tad noisy, but with the hood shut they're fine. They draw low amps, put out the most cfm's and the price is good for what you get. I'm going to be using a single 14 or 16" with a shroud for my setup I think. http://www.perma-cool.com I think is the site.

it isnt too bad as far as noise is concerned.it took a while to figure out the thermostat but now the fan cycles quite nicely.as for the price it really cant be beat for what it offeres.14" seems to be the max you can cram infront of the radiator as i have some clerance issues on mine.reason i got the thermostat is so that i could turn the fans on earlier than the coolant sensor in the radiator would (rb rad), which is about 90C.i felt that it was a bit too warm for the fans to come on.
