A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Check the switch, but also check the temp sensor. Both seem likely suspects to me.

The fans kick on when the temp sensor detects a certain temp. Fans run for a few seconds and shut off. Sounds normal to me not unless they do it all the time regardless of temp.

The fans are going to kick on periodically, if not the car would over heat, especially if its hot outside. I wouldn't sweat it at this point.
