Coolent Temp. Warning Light

Has anyone tried to install a coolant temp. "gauge" on a Versa 1.8,or does anyone know if there is a warning bell,or buzzer installed from the factory.I'am just not crazy about where nissan put the warning light.Maybe it's just me,but the way i sit in the driver seat,i can't see the coolant temp. warning light in my normal driving position.I'm sure i would see it at night,but 80% of my driving is daytime.If there is no bell,or buzzer,I would be very interested in installing a gauge.Any info on this would be appreciated."Thanks".

Installing an aftermarket gauge isn't too hard, you usually like to do it as close to the T-stat housing as possible, because that's where the ECU reads the engine temp.

What makes you think you're going to overheat the engine? Coolant temp really stays pretty constant once it's warmed up, and I'm guessing you're not taking your 1.8 versa on the track too much...

You might want to consider a Scanguage. Runs about $150, gives you all the information you want about your engine. Plugs right into the OBD port, and gives you real time information regarding water temp., voltage, rpms, fuel milage, and a host of other bits of helpful information. It also can read and cancel most error codes.
