I remember driving a decade ago in D.C heatwave when my outdoor rogue temperature read 110 degrees that my coolant temp usually hovers around 192 degrees on the city/ highway, but lately it reads 207-208 degrees on the highway with air con. And 195-196 degrees in the city.

Is this still normal range for the rogue, yes I know 220 degrees is normally the limit.
Should I change the thermostat? OCD kicking in. :bang

In general it should run a tad cooler on the highway if anything, so something is probably going south but hasn't reached the equator yet. Could be the 'stat, they tend to not open fully when the wax charge depletes but isn't gone. Could also be the radiator, a few blocked tubes will make the ram-air effect on the highway much less efficient but won't matter so much at idle with lesser heat generation. Other candidates would be belt slip, a dislodged water pump impeller, or a lower hose beginning to collapse.

Thanks vstar. Well it’s 196-202 in the city. Sometimes 189.

Not as hot today, so 190’s in the highway.

It’s old. I’ll keep eye on it.

Recently changed the radiator too.
