iv been having a hard time finding a coolant temp. sensor for my 93 KA...when i go to buy a new one they give me on with the same plug but the actual sensor is to thick and later i found out that the sensor for the 98 240 is the right size but the plug doesnt match up...i also went to a dealer and they gave me the part# and when i went to match it up it was the same thick one...well im just asking for help on where i could find one that actually fits right

That's odd, I've bought like four temp sensors at my parts store for various reasons and they've all been the same. Slightly different from the one I took out but very close. The sensors that I see on some Nissan aftermarket websites look very similiar but the prices...whoa!

find one that fits 91-93. the dealers are not that smart when it comes to older cars. go to rock auto and pick one out or get some parts numbers for different brands and buy somewhere else.

maybe your telling them the wrong part.your probably mixing a coolant temperature sensor (CTS) to a temperature gauge.
