Coolant Temp Sensor?

ok guys heres my prob...ive searched this site and was informed that a 90-93 300zx engine coolant sensor (2 wire) will fit my RB20DET..also if that one didnt fit then a 94-up 300zx would fit..so i went to advance and tried buying one..ends up that advance had in theyr system that 90-up 300zx engine coolant sensors were all the same..both,the earlier years and the newer years..so i had him look up a 240sx just for the hell of it..SAME PART NUM AS THE 300ZX!..is advance retarted and i HAVE to go to a dealer for a new one?? ?? Carl h. said i might need a new one and when he says jump,i say how high

Yes they are the same as are many other models and engines. No you don't have to buy one from the dealership. And yes Advance is retarded.

does the rb20 use the same coolent temp sensor as the rb25?
