1996 Infiniti J30. My car was experiencing these symptoms

- car runs great when cold for 10 minutes
- car runs sluggish when warmed up after 10-15 minutes of driving
- very low mpg (12mpg strictly city / 18mpg city/highway)
- when warmed up, car will run sluggish 1/2 throttle
- no check engine light

Ive changed out spark plugs, all 4 O2 sensors, fuel filter, added multiple fuel injector cleaners, cleaned out MAF, cleaned out idle control valve, and fuel pump with no avail. I was starting to give up hope and the last hope was the coolant temperature sensor. After i installed it, it ran like BRAND NEW! i suggest you guys replace this sensor if you experience the same symptoms or if its never been replaced before. So far it runs well and ill update the mpgs i get after i fill up again.

Its $20-30 at your local auto parts store. located here.

You VG30DE guys are so fortunate! VG30E requires timing belt cover removal and taking off the cam gears if you don't want to chop up the rear cover. I just replaced mine as well and my fuel economy is improved!
