coolant temp question

i have a problem when i have the car on my coolant temp reads past hot and i know its not hot (duh!!). when the car is warm it stays the same, it doesnt change. the only time the needle moves is when i press the gas then it goes down but just a little bit then goes back when im off the throttle. any suggestions please help me i love my baby.

You could have air trapped in the system. Try using the bleeder valve to see if it doesn't correct it. It's on top of the upper water neck/outlet.

Sounds like he has a S14 with a S13 SR using the S13 coolant sensor. Or air bubble

i did already tried to bleed the cooling system through that little bleeder hole , unless i didnt do it right, which is always a possibilty. all i did was add coolant to the radiator until it started coming out of that bleeder hole, anything im missing here. my car is a s13 with a red top in it, also do you think that if the thermostat is stuck it would cause this problem.
