I have a question about something that I noticed just recently and I was wondering if it is a problem that needs to be taken care of soon. I haven't had any problems with my engine overheating on my 93 240sx but I notice that after driving the car for awhile and then have it parked, I noticed that the overflow bottle is boiling with coolant. Is that something that I have to worry about?

The coolant bottle is a recovery bottle. This keeps the coolant system full cold or hot. When the coolant heats up it exspands and over flows into the recovery bottle. When it cools it is drawn back into the radiator. If there is no overheating then you are okay.To be on the safe side I would check or just replace the rad. cap if it is old or the seals look deformed or cracked.

if the coolant is boiling and steam is bellowing form the bottle i would say you better be concerned, coolants boiling point is much higher then that of water. i would suggest you go pick up a meat thermometer at your local grocer( unless you have a temp gun) and check the temp of that boiling coolant. if its around 250 you got a prob buddy ..dont trust that temp gauge on your dash.
