I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier with a 4.0. I am planning on changing the coolant today. Any suggestions on coolant brand and type to use.

hey something that new I tell you what I would do. I would be looking in the owners manual and going by it so I would not void the warrenty on it.

Just use original Nissan Coolant from dealership. Don't recommend aftermarket coolant, its a very different blend when you compare them.

On my 2001 Nissan Frontier 3.3 the engine block has 2 drain plugs, that I replaced with radiator drain valves instead of putting back the plugs. It works excellent, I get to drain the whole engine, and you also drain the radiator with its own drain it has.

Check to see if your engine has a air bleed plug when filling up with coolant, it needs to be off when filling, so no air pockets or bubbles get traped inside the engine, it will cause your engine to overheat. The best way to know this is to read your owners manual, it should guide you.
