Okay so I've been spending some tax return money playing with my s14. I took off my coolant reservoir to clean it and it basically shattered in my hands. I know these get brittle over time and crack so I wasn't too pissed when it self destructed. Only thing is I don't have a back up on hand.

I have been looking into replacements but the only aftermarket one I've seen is the Circuit Sports reservoir for the S13. Anyone know if this would work on the s14 withe some custom brackets. As far as I know, no one around me has one that I can size everything up or test out, so I figured I'd ask here.

Thanks for any help

order a moroso coolant overflow tank from summit racing.

Most reservoirs are just that...reservoirs....It's up to you to run the lines and secure it in the bay man.

The s13's coolant reservoir mounts on top of the passenger side wheel well, doesn't the S14's fuse box and stuff mount there?

You should just make up a temp one with a waterbottle until you can buy S14 one.

Yeah I would really like to buy the OEM reservoir, but for some reason I'm only able to find the S13 one brand new as well...looks like in this case the S13 gets all the love...lol

And as for just getting the Moroso one, the Circuit Sports would be cheaper to make fit because it's only $80. And I think that if I was to turn it to the side it would fit in the S14 spot.

OEM cost me around $85ish.

Looks better than the CS, and I haven't heard good stuff about the CS one.

FR Sport's got em.

So does Courtesy.

I got mine from FR, had it price matched from Everything Nissan, shipping was cheaper with FR. ;)

Water expands and contracts when it heats and cools due to oh.. your engine. By not having a reservoir you are letting coolant leave the system every time it heats up, and it's sucking air back into the radiator when it cools down ;) . You should at least use a coolant reservoir. Not to mention the environmental hazard QQ! lol

ABSOLUTELY, This is a fast way to get air into the system, overheat, and warp a head.

is total crap.
i've owned a couple of C.S. products...there were minor issues but all were decent and held up EXCEPT the damn resevoir, it didnt fit worth a crap, the emblem fell off when i touched it, the nipple for the upper line broke off as i pushed on the tube, the cap wasnt water tight...and above all that, the tube on the side that shows the level, leaked, and when i realized it was a loose fitting, it still didnt matter as the length of hose in there was too short to be tightened upon.

so yeah,
stay the F away from that product.
