While driving 97 Altima GXE with 128600 miles, check engine lightstarted to flash and remained on later on. Bring the car home andfound low on coolant(2QT). Check the code with the code readerand found P0302, means 2nd plug misfired.

Removed 2nd and 4th plugs. 4th plug, its long wire tube andcavity were dry. However 2nd plug, its cavity were coated withlot of coolant, found even wetness on the outside of the plugwire tube.

My question is that is this is a simple valve cover gasket manyof you are talking about or something else. Need your suggestions.

Thanks

About the only way the antifreeze could enter the cylinder is from A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. Do a compression test and you will see a pressure drop and possible air coming into the resovoir.

That is a very good suggestion. I will do that especially it is expensiveand pain to do head gasket. Plus this may identify where the coolantis leaking. Still will not solve misfire spark plug but it is a good start.

Thanks and I will update with results.
