hey everyone it been a while since ive posted but ive been collecting parts for my turbo system and had a quick question. Recently jus pick up a gt3076r huge upgrade from my ebay t3/t04e (worked for 2yrs no issues :)) anyway the gt30 is water cooled as well. I was going to connect my water lines by tapping into my throttle body, then i found this on kat Image

this guy bypass the lines going through the throttle body so coolant no longer runs through it. is it bad or not safe to run coolant through the throttle body? is there a better or easier way to run the water lines? thanks everyone in advance

As far as i know (someone correct me if i am wrong)the only reason they run coolant through the TB is to keep it from icing up.I don't think you will have that problem where you live.

I've never heard of an issue with by passing the coolant on the TB. I've never had an issue. Believe the only issue may be if you are in Alaska in the winter.

I've bypassed them before, no known issues. The TB water lines are probably the easiest lines to source water from for the turbo.

Welcome back dude!!!

I bypassed mine too.
Then I used it as my turbo's waterlines.

I use them too. My friend said those are for emissions. Its cool to because the return flow shoots right at the thermostat spring , so when your turbo is hot the t-stat will stay open ( theoretically ).
