Background: I have a 92 coupe with an RB25DET. After about 6 months it developed a coolant leak at the T-stat housing. I replaced it with a Nismo t-stat and resealed it. A couple days later my water pump started leaking. So I ordered a nismo water pump and replaced it. Then a coolant line under my intake manifold let go and I was again unable to drive my car. Two weekends ago I replaced all the coolant lines I could get to, and started driving it again.

Today: I was leaving the driveway and saw the another damn coolant puddle... This time it seems to be under the passenger floor board. I am thinking it is the heater core this time. I am planning on bypassing the heater core this weekend to get rid of the problem till I can get around to replacing it.

Any other suggestions?

wow... I hate these RBs with coolant problems. If it doesn't over heat they leak. Mine blew under the intake and it was a biatch to replace. So your best bet is to replace until all is replaced lol.

Good luck!!

HAHA I haven't figured out what is worse, Cooland leaks or Overheating!!

I don't think I would bypass the heater core man. I have heard some bad stories about doing that. Just get a new one and call it a day. Even if it takes you a few weeks to save up for a new one I would't drive it until you replace it. Just my o2
