Hi, recently my 2000 nissan xterra has been leaking coolant from the drive side of the engine. No check engine light, no water in the oil, no smoke or steam coming out of tail pipe, no misfires. My guess is that it is either a blown headgasket, thermostat, or a coolant hose broken inside the engine. Any suggestions?

There is a pressure tool you can rent at many auto parts store that will allow you to pressurize the cooling system while it's cold. It's very helpful in helping pinpoint leaks.

Okay I'll look into that thank you. I'm not sure if this would be useful information or not ..but when i drove my car last night 1-2 miles, i got out and there was no coolant leaking. I drove it another 2-3 miles and then it started leaking again. So i keep wondering if its the thermostat but i will definitely take your advice on pressure testing the cooling system and thank you again.
