Coolant leak, urgent.

So I was on my way home from work today (5pm-ish 83 degrees) in traffic, and i notice some steam from under the hood, look down, temp gauge is pegged at hot, i pull over, pop the hood, buy 6 liters of bottled water, come back out pop the radiator cap off, empty, i fill it up, let the motor cool off, start it up, and its quite literally pissing water out of where the transmission bolts up to the engine (from the crack between the transmission and block). Anyone know what this could be? Any and all help is appreciated as this is my only car and i need it to get to and from work. thanks in advance!

Freeze plug on the back of the block is my bet... Only thing that is in the back of the motor/block that has coolant in it. Happy transmission removal. If you have a MT nows the time for a clutch and rear main oil seal.

there is no mention of a freeze plug in the manual, and i cant find one for sale, where is it? and does nissan call it something different? and yes, its definitely coolant.

the FSM may call it an expansion plug.

See if the hose is torn from heater core,mine was and it look like it was dripping from the transmission,there two upper one was,leaking.
