You have no idea how helpful the diagrams are...

I still have my lists from the plenum..... On the diagrams it lists part codes, and then you have a chart that lists the part codes with the part numbers.. You locate the hose to replace on the diagram, find its part code, look up the part number, then dig through the box of hoses for it.... Life is good!

Goodness, there's bleeding involved in a plenum job?

I'm definitely paying Wes to do mine, and bringing a box of bandages.

Bleeding..... It not only gets you physically, but MENTALLY... Next time I take off the plenum I am taking off the lower intake runners..... That means we'd also like to repalce the injector harness... But we'd get those lower intake runners SPOTLESS! I was ""VERY"" stupid and cleaned them by spraying in carb cleaner.....

If you dont take off the lower intake runners, best thing to use is some paint/varnish remover on some disposable shop towels.....

I wadded up some paper towels and stuffed them in the lower runners, then sprayed the carb cleaner in, sopping them thoroughly. I used a long handled surgical clamp to remove them, twisting as I did so to wipe down the sides of the runner. There isn't too much crud below the injectors, as the fuel mist washes that area pretty well.

I just used bottle brushes and brake parts cleaner - unless you use tons of it, it should evaporate fairly quickly. Price those runner gaskets before you remove them... they're pretty expensive if I remember correctly!
