2000 Altima

I saw a small coolant leak under the car this morning. It was dripping from the compressor area. Does any coolant lines run anywhere near there, or is the worst case: headgasket. The car runs fine.

Good luck - compressor leaks can be tough to track down

Lets try to eliminate the HG. Run the car until its at operating temp. After that open the coolant reservoir and check to see if any bubbles are in the coolant. If you see any it could indicate that your HG is leaking cylinder pressure into the cooling system. If not then there's still the possibility the HG is leaking from a water jacket, so check by the head and block and see if any leakage is visible. Compressor side, or front of the engine has the water pump and upper radiator fitting. Try checking for leaks at these parts too.

Wow, i didn't realize how old these threads were lol. Guess I'm the only one working on a 2nd gen Altima :P
