well looks like i have myself a blown hg, sad, not sure if it's from over boosting(14-15 psi on stock turbo, ret top in a s13 coupe(93)) or could it be overheating? i know you can't really tell till you strip it down but what are the likely causes? the car has a manual switch for the electric fan and i forgot to turn it on once, but the heater needle never went above 3/4 on the gauge (normally stays at 1/2)(it was freezing outside so i assume just driving around was enough to cool it, i don't think it ever overheated.

i guess i'm kinda hoping it is just cause of overboost as that means no warping

it's a second car so i havn't driven it hardly since i got it 3 months ago, how bad is the coolant in the oil issue, bad as in plan on changing bearings(spun bearings) or just go fix the hg, and change the oil? car runs good but bad idle. stalls if driven hard and then you drop off the gas, like put in the clutch

what cheap head gaskets are good, i probably won't change the turbo even, maybe something mild in the future, not talking a 450whp or even 400 probably, but i really don't know what goals i'll have for it in the future.

thanks in advance.

Pull the head off and get it decked. Clean the block. Get a good headgasket. Cosworth, Apex-i. Use the copper spray sealant. Change the oil and coolant and go.
