I just finished installed a new motor in my 91 240 and the intake hose from the throttle body to the air box filled up with coolant and then went down into the intake manifold and filled that up. WTF? Can anyone help me determine why this happened and what possible problems could arise from this.

there is a coolant area on your head that is only seperated by a ghasket from the intake manifold....link below is my myspace page...in the pic section...i have the coolant area shown with a pointer so you can see it...if the ghasket fails in that area..there is a chance to push coolant into the intake manifold..remember..the intake is not under pressue..and the coolant system is..when hot....hope this helps...
