coolant gauge fluctuates

anybody have a car that has a coolant gauge fluctuating when rpms are high or letting off the throttle?

mine fluctuates and i've checked coolant and everything is good. even altenator is charging correctly. it just all of a sudden started this. i havent really looked into it yet, jut wanted to see if anyone has had this problem first....thanks ahead.

It's probably a loose connection on the sender for your gauge (in the engine bay). I had this come loose on a '90. I couldn't get the connection tight so I bought a new sender online.. it was about $20.

I had this happen too. I just put a bit of solder here -

As well as putting a new female spade connector onto the wire. Works like a charm now .

yeah, thats what i figured, but just was too lazy to even start looking for it.....thanks alot guys....that saved me the trouble of testing for shorts....
