So I am at 98k miles, I think it is probably time to change the coolant.

1> What coolant should I use and why?

2> On every other car I have had when I changed the coolant I changed the hoses. My G is now 5 years old (wow) and has almost 100k miles. The hoses should be changed.... RIGHT?

3> If I do change the hoses I like the Samco blue silicon hoses just cause they look cool. They only say they fit the VQ35HR in the 350z, but wouldn't they fit the VQ35HR in the G35 Sedan too?

When I changed my coolant/hoses I used Prestone. I had done some research and i believe you want to use a coolant that is silicate free - which Prestone had recently changed to.

I also used the Samco blue hoses - they were designed for the 350Z but fit my car. I'm not an HR though. The Z does use a different radiator for some years so that could be a difference?

The upper hose is completely different on the 350Z much shorter. The lower would probably work and the heater hoses looked the same.

Jeff - don't you do shipping? I remember you saying something about that..anyways, I'm shipping an engine to the east coast from Vegas. Hit me up if you still do that so I can get a quote.
