I thought I blew my head gasket, but It was blown persay, just had some seepage thanks to a handtightend head bolt. My dad said I should put some water to check the block for dmg, so when I did that water came out of the oil drain plug. I poured water directly into the water jackets and same result. Is the block cracked or is there an engine component that provides a seal for the coolant? I need to get a timing rebuild kit since the tensioner is shot and the guides are loose, so Im guessing the chain had free reign to screw something up via scoring, wont find out till I remove the oil pan and timing chain cover this weekend, but if anyone could give me a heads up to this that would be great.

dude it sounds like the head gasket blew and the coolant is leaking into the main oil gallery. replace the head gasket and do some resurfacing to the head and it should be all right.

that still doesnt explain why when directly pouring water into the water jackets the water comes out the oil pan drain.

yes it does. water jackets don't just go into the engine block. some lead into the cylinder head to cool off the combustion chamber and valves. the head gasket between the engine block and cylinder head, if it were bad, would leak water straight into the main oil gallery which usually is close to the water jackets and would eventually make its way to the oil pan and out the drain plug.
