before goin to the garage, pull out your Ht leads and and unscrew the camshaft cover and have a look inside it for a kinda mustard coloured gunge, and the inside of the coolant bootle, and a sweet nasty smell around the block, any of those symptons and its a head gasket buddy, also you will defenetly need to get the cylinder head skimmed by 3/4 thousandth of an inch in case its slightly warped. also check water pump. worth while changing the thermostat, the gauge on the dash may be saying the temp is fine, when actually the stat is stuck hope that helps!neo s3-r wrote:in my coolant resovoir i have below min. but when i put more, after driving the car it will start to bubble and it will look like the whole things about to overflow...then like when i come back later when the cars cooled down all the coolant in the resovoir is gone....i asked some shop and they said my head gasket it goind bad....true or false? he could just be trying to make the money to change it for me since ***holes where i live charge like 250-500 to change a head gasket. wut could it be? theres no overheating and the car still performs the same
