Not too long ago I was telling someone why I disliked San Angelo, TX. I said I liked the change in weather we get in Topeka; It's hot in the summer, cold in the winter, we get snow, we get storms, and even some droughts. Plus there's always just enough wind, but not so much that it's annoying.

Top 10 cities with most weather variety
Based on temperature variation, precipitation, wind, severe weather
2. Topeka, Kansas. Or Top City as the local degenerates call it
4. Wichita, Kansas
9. Concordia, Kansas

Top 10 hail prone cities
Based on frequency and severity of hail
4. Wichita, Kansas
10. Kansas City, Missouri / Kansas

Top 10 Tornado prone cities
Ranked by tornadoes per 1,000 miles
4. Wichita, Kansas
6. Kansas City, Kansas / Missouri

10 windiest cities
Avg annual wind speed in mph
2. Dodge City, Kansas (Crap hole)
8. Goodland, Kansas (Another crap hole of a city)

Worst cities for allergies
Based on pollen counts from 1999-20002 (That's a real long time)
1. Kansas City, Mo/Ks

Kansas has received the most F5 tornadoes since 1880.

Yeah, what's your city/state got?

10 years ago, we got our first real traffic light, and I'm not even 3 miles out of DC.

Mildly (pun intended) interesting that the top six of this category are in California - with a total of 8 entries in the top 10 too:

2. San Diego, California
3. Los Angeles, California
4. Santa Barbara, California
5. Eureka, California
6. Long Beach, California
7. Honolulu, Hawaii
8. Santa Maria, California
9. San Luis Obispo, California
10. Kahului, Hawaii

I have never, ever gotten through new york (southbound or northbound) without getting stuck in traffic for at least 1.5 hours.

Dirty air and allergies, both lists! WOOOO!

I got over them around my late teens though, and the air is clean out in the 'burbs.
