Wow dude, you're ignorant. You obviously have no concept of motorsport history or part longevity. With ebay lights you can expect scratched and hazy plastic with lots of swirls, and possibly some cracks or leaks, not to mention it's not legal due to the fact it's not DOT approved. Why are we commanded: "You have to show people that you have created something different, yet something that blends together". Dunno bout you but I work on my cars for myself, and I could give a damn what people think, they can think whatever they want while they're choking on my exhaust fumes and watching my STOCK tail lights get farther away. Keep that ish classic, Kouki or stock.koren wrote:Now tell me real quick what is the difference between the "quality" and ebay tail lights???Other than fitment there is nothing to discuss about. Both are pieces of plastic, made to look cool.It is not the turbo or any engine moving parts... As long as it fits - it is great. And it`s all about the looks.
I am just trying to make you understand one thing. The car has to be stylish. You have to show people that you have created something different, yet something that blends together.Otherwise you just are one of the guys who buys whatever they told you on the commercial that it`s cool, and not thinking about what is actually better for your car.
Now lets return to the main question.Nobody but Australia offers the kind of lights I was taking about before?
dude, thats how i did it, rocking koukis now and my red ones are for saleniberlin wrote:All red lights rock! I wil have them like this until i get some koukis. Stock or kouki is the only lights i would ever put on my S13!!
dude, im not gonna flame you, but talk to the owner of clearcorners.com and try to tell him crappy taillights are the same as quality oneskoren wrote:Now tell me real quick what is the difference between the "quality" and ebay tail lights???Other than fitment there is nothing to discuss about. except the ebay ones will leak, look worse then stock, and make baby jesus cryDriftBoy07 wrote:I couldnt stand to read through the whole thread lolBut why not buy Altezzas & smoke em with red? I know theres a thread somewhere on using red vinyl on the chrome part and they almost looks like koukis I swear..

I really don't think there is a worse option than this. They are absolutely the ugliest tail light for the s13 available. And they look very cheap in person.Jadesr20det wrote:these are the best (hippo sleek as stated above)
i own these btw

Although now, I'd like to try this with the Hippo Sleek lights. I hope this was helpful.simmode1 wrote:
Almost right. Yeah, that's Bushido's car with ebay Altezza lights. You can also get them where ever D Max products are sold, I believe. But Bushido didn't spray red paint on them. He uses translucent, red tinted vinyl...
Here's spray painted Altezza's...
Here's Bushido's with vinyl tint. Much better, don't you think?
I have these tails as well. But my plan is to vinyl tint the whole thing, Mighty Boy style...
no offence but those are ugly as s*** imoJadesr20det wrote:these are the best (hippo sleek as stated above)

This is the same car I posted above...s13 iDRIFT wrote:do this one. they are not the real kouki but look almost like them. and they dont look bad.
Don't use paint. It will look like a$$ compared to the transluscent red vinyl...blacksrjdm wrote:The painted red tails are a 100% improvement over the clear. I would buy them, paint them red and reuse the factory center. Or if you cant reuse the factory center, then paint the center black and leave the reverse lights clear.
Paint looks good if you do it right... bake them and paint from the inside, its the only way to not make it fade and look s***ty pretty muchsimmode1 wrote:Don't use paint. It will look like a$$ compared to the transluscent red vinyl...
i think paint comes out fine, just not on ghey taillightssimmode1 wrote: Don't use paint. It will look like a$$ compared to the transluscent red vinyl...
The vinyl is definitely the easier option, I was just saying its not the only option. Most vinyl overlays are optically clear too no matter what color they aresimmode1 wrote:^^^Ooookay. The proof is in the pictures. One of these options takes a lot less effort and is proven to look better.
