Hey new to posting, more of a lurker. Wanted to get some opinions if you guys would be so kind. Did a sr swap into a 93 hatch. BeEl Having Start Up problems, Changed ignitor, ecu, Tested continuity, blah blah blah. Issues on the table now is while we were testing coil pack connectors we found that we had no constant 12v on the constant wire, instead it was coming through the signal wire. We found this using a multimeter testing volts, we put the negative lead into the ground of the of the coil pack connector and the positive lead into the constant of the connector. We got no volts, then moved positive lead to the signal on the connector and got 12v with the key on. Everything seems legit up to the coil subharness. I feel we may have wired something wrong, we used the frsport wiring diagram and other forum posts to piece things together. I have searched endlessly in forums and google and haven't found what I'm looking for. Can somebody share some opinions and ideas, please? Thanks for reading my post.

Just want to clarify that you have the pins correct. Here's a little snippet I made from the factory service manual:

Thanks for the reply. I will check against this pic after work today and post the findings.

So, apparently we tested the original ignitor chip wrong. Replaced with a $80 isis chip. Then changed the ecu cuz we thought it was bad. My friend had a vision last night to try the original ignitor in, and behold car started. We hooked the fans up wired the boost controller then dropped the hammer and lit those 15s up. Long story short, the new isis chip was bad. Im bummed we miss diagnosed it, but glad i got to get so in depth trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help 2_liter_turbo.

No problem! And I'm not surprised about the bad ISIS chip, the company is not known for it's quality. It's a chinese/taiwanese company, so it's to be expected I guess, ha ha. Anyways, glad you got it figured out!

While the company may be known for bad chip quality, I don't think it serves the best interests of this forum to denigrate them based upon their nationality. It's easy to toss out such remarks without realizing they are not really helpful.
