An interesting idea, definitely. I loved the halo around the headlamp way back when BMW came up with the idea. It set them apart so much that, if you saw a halo, you immediately knew that car was a BMW. However, over time, more and more cars sported that same idea so that now, even the cheapest American and Euro cars have adapted that idea and lights around the headlamps is commonplace. The new Q70 and Q50 use lights in the headlamp assembly by tracing the outer eyebrow edge and the lamp shroud so, again, it is a design unique to those cars. I think the absolute worst use of these lights is the Porsche. Now that they have LED headlamps, you see 4 small squares which is gopping and goofy (in my opinion).
I wanted DRLs but did not want to use halos so I went with the old standard of LED bars along the lower bumper. Definitely NOT unique, but I didn't want unique, I only wanted to be visible to oncoming traffic.
