Just wanted to put this out to new G35 owners...With all this heat lately, the inside of a car can get really hot (duh). Well the G35 has a neat little feature that can roll the windows down with the keyless entry remote from a distance. Hey, any little bit helps right!

To activate this, simply hold the unlock button on the remote, and the windows will start to go down. The longer you press, the more the windows go down. Unfortunatly, UP is a different story...but having the windows down as you walk towards the car makes the inside slightly cooler.

Good reminder. I used that a lot on hot days myself. It is unfortunate that there's no way to roll it up. I'm sure thare's a reason Nissan/Infiniti did this, but I have come up with no logical explanations myself...

IIRC there was a post here a couple of years ago regarding a way to roll the windows up as well. Someone was selling a DIY kit to do it. I don't remember hearing anyone who bought and installed it saying how well it worked though.

The reason why the dont roll back up is because of safty issue.. ie pets or kids in the back and you "accidenty" roll up the window they could choke or someones hand get stuck.

I would have to say that I thought these new cars all came with a sensor to check for resistance, and stop the process, but maybe they are not taking any chances...

this is also the same reason (BTW) that the newer laws require that the power window buttons be pulled up to close, pets and small kids litterally were dieing when the pressed the button down and got thier head stuck;

Its likly a good thing they dont roll up... there is many dumb people out there and we need the government to protect us dont we?tk

wow, I never thought that was why...It should be a defeatable switch like child locks. You shouldn't leave a kid in a car alone anyway!

You can still roll up the windows from the outside by turning the key and holding (I believe towards the front of the car). It beats getting back into the car when the kids forget to roll up the windows!
