here is a cool auto math calculator website that calculates all sorts of things such as HP, 1/4 ET's, Launch G Force....etc. I tested it from my many time slips at it seems to be calculating very close to reality as it gave me 331 crank hp or 265rwhp based on 20% drivetrain loss, 4170 weight (me, 1/4 tank of gas) and 14.601 ET @96.4mph. They also have the calculator to adjust for the air temps in ET's.

According to the calculator...I need another 20rwhp to hit 100mph in the 1/4.

You Entered:Vehicle Weight - 3100 (lbs)Wheel HP - 400 (HP)

Results: Trap Speed - 123.27 (mph @ end of 1/4 mi.)E.T. - 11.52 (seconds @ end of 1/4 mi.)

Haha, I hope this thing's accurate! Then again, it probably doesn't take into account traction loss, etc...

don't know that numbers you are comparing to...I am certain that it is an average of certain assumptions and functions used in the formula and does not apply to all cars, but for the Q I thought the numbers were pretty damn good estimate.

for example if we enter:weight = 4170lbsrwhp = 225 (as per Q45tech)

result is:ET = 15.4 @ 92mph

this is extremely close to what a 94-95 Q45 should do in the 1/4....my Q stock did 15.8 at 88mph but my timing was off by 5 degrees. I am sure that there are many factors such as rearend gearing and trans gearing that may not make this very accurate, but for the Q it seems very close to reality and therefore can be used as a good tool to estimate how much additional HP is needed for certain ET's
