Hey guys i just got my cable, and the free version of ConZult. I've tried it with 3 different computers, and seem to get the same error referring to "could not open com port" If anyone has had this issue and knows how to resolve it I would appreciate any help. 1 machine is WIn7, 1 is Win8, and 1 is Vista

Which port are you using? What cable did you get, is the cable serial or USB? What are your comp port settings both on your machine and within your diagnostic software? You have to play with it a little bit, I remember when I had my emance cable years ago I would constantly have problems with it connecting to the computer, it takes sitting and messing with all the com ports to get it to work right.

Its a usb cable that I got from Concept Z since they are a dealer for Conzult. The pc that it is setup on right now it's set as com1 there's no printers or Modems on that computer either. Nothing like getting a new toy and spending 8 hours so far Trying to get it working

Yeah thats normal, are you using ConzultFree?

Well good news i got everything working, conzult is functioning as it should. Yea i am running the freeware version, i dont have the $ to drop on the full version sadly. the cable was bad enough
