I'm about to get an 07 m35X in black. I want to install the black housing headlights being that the car is black. I know they are HID and the ones I have now are halogen. Does anyone know if the harness is the same and I can just plug them in? If I cant plug them in, I will just get an HID kit with a NON rebased bulb to go in the m45 headlight but I'm having a hard enough time even getting my hands on m45 heads. Any help would be appreciated.

If the m35x has the adaptive headlights, then the sport lights will not have the adaptive ability when they are installed. I don't know if that means that there is a different harness or not though. C'mon people help this man out!

If you are converting to HID lights then I believe you need the ballast so the wire harness would be different. If I were you I would just get the new headlights and an aftermarket HID kit (DDM Tuning has great prices and lifetime warranty http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html). Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I probably will just do that, I like to use xenondepot.com though.
