Converting the cassette player to storage space?

I think I used the cassette 4 times since I bought my new 2009 Altima. I really could use that area for storage space!

I have the open style cassette player, with an ash tray underneath. This is the dash cover part number 68560-JA01B.

What I had in mind initially, was to simply remove the cassette player and insert a piece of plastic in its place. However I couldn't find that piece that would be the exact dimensions of my cassette player. This will always be option number 1 until I fail to find that part.

Option two: remove the cassette player and buy one of these Altima center console storage part numbers: 68560-ZX00B 68560-JA13A. These two parts look generally the same, but would they fit interchangeably after removing the player?

Where can I find a simple plastic box to put in place the cassette player in option 1?

Thanks!

Yes it is exactly like this. I actually found a very easy solution (single din pocket). remove and replace.
