Ok I understand that in order to swap fron sidefeed to top feed your gonna have to:

-get top feed injectors-GTR resistor box-fuel rail

but are there any benifits to convert???..Seems that just about everycar on the market uses top feed injectors and there eaisir to come by. Is it worth doing?? And is anything need for the ecu since there will be a diffrence in ohms??

If you can get large enough sidefeeds for your application, stick with them. The only real reason to switch to tops is because you can't find what you need in sidefeed.

well....biggest difference is price...top feed injectors are WAY cheaper and a dime a dozen...but you have to weigh the cost of the conversion. you do NOT have to get a resistor box unless you are using low impedance resistors. if you use high impedance then you don't need the resistor box. also there are alternatives to the gtr box, i used a honda v6 resistor box. should work the same.

for me it was pretty cheap to convert, i got the injectors for $200, the rail for $80 (obx) and the resistor box for $20. already had the fpr and lines so it worked out pretty cheap for me.

Like was said above, price and availability would be the only benefits I can see.

Arent alot of the top feed rails larger than the stock sidefeed rail? You kinda need that for a high hp build. Unless thats not what your going for. Also there already made to accept AN fittings.

ive been snooping around and decided on:

-7mgte injectors 440 or alternative-6 x resistors(pretty cheap)-obx rb26dett dual feed rail.

all together that will run about 200+ dollars. I would rather go this route than to get sidefeed injectors. I hate them.

ok, the rb26 rail does not bolt up to the stock intake plenum on a rb25 the bolt location are slightly off. I went with a top feed on my car, the injectors are cheaper, but by the time u factor in the new rail and other issues its ends up being the same. But like the poster above said top feed rails are usually larger, i will say one thing though dont but that cheap a** ebay BS they are not machined good and might leak like mine did. i ended up with a greddy rail which also does not bolt up to the stock intake and some special tabs to hold it in place, but i am not too happy with it and how the injectors sit

I know that the stock rail does fit and that new brackets are needed. And im really sure that you have to be an absolute idiot if you cant cnc something as simple as a fuel rail. Obx makes great products and I havnt had any issues with parts on ebay. And Ive been a ebay shopper since 2001. Oh yeah I have a cheap a** intake manifold that I have been running for about 2 years. Im sure both sh$**y parts matted together would work great...

lol trust me, the ebay rail will leak from the top, i think the machineing was horrible the the blue anodizing was great, i pulled out caliper and they were inconsistant sizes and some of them more ovular, and the greddy although 300 dollers, looks AMAZING and fit like a glove. i am not knocking the the intake right now i am on the fence on whenether i want to get a isis intake cause i damn sure am not gunna drop 800 for greddy intake manifold

Are you being sarcastic? ?I would listen to stricnyne, he's been around the block once or twice.

Los why are you switching manifolds? ? You having a problem with nate's one?

I have the ebay fuel rail. As StricNyne said it had poor machine work but mine had sharp edges and tore o-rings when the injectors were inserted. I reamed the sharp edges out and now it doesn't leak up to 75psi.

If you're looking for injectors smaller than 740cc you should just get the deatchwerks drop in injectors.

Fuel rails are pretty standard and basic in design, but they can be done wrong. Trust me just do it right the first time and get a nice fuel rail and parts, my friend on his evo build went cheap on fuel rail and fittings and ended up burning the car to the ground. IPS vette just burned to the ground a few months back because a flaw in the machine work with the rails. Good luck with everything!

the fitment of the top mount rail and the size hehe, i cant fit much in between strut tower and intake, i might try taking the IAC off for the extra space. my biggest beef if injector fitment, i know nates will make WAY more HP but i think its better used for custom fuel rail or sticking with side feed

i run the OBX rail with ZERO issues. it was nicely cut and fits perfect. the only thing i'd recommend is replacing the copper crush washers that come with it.
