converting manual locks/windows to power locks/windows

This is for an s13. What is involved besides the usual door panels and switches? Any extra modules? Extra wiring under the dash?

I am not sure if nissan does it the same way ford does or not..but if so after getting all the neccesary switches, motors, etc for the doors..take your door skin off and look at the harness that comes in from the body...if its like a ford then there should be "extra" plugs that are for the power options..if not you may need to get a door harness and see how far back it goes into the car/under the dash until you get to a disconnect...if you need I can try to pull off my skins and look for a disconnect if you dont have the "extra" plugs already in the door...

why not just an an alarm? and install those lock actuators(sp?)

It's for purposes of me liking power door locks and power windows. I prefer having them instead of rolling up windows and reaching over to unlock for the passenger.

Thanks Carl for the help. I'll look into that. Hopefully Nissan engineers were thinking when they designed this car. I'll just have to look if it's the same as Fords.

Also I have the power everything so if it comes down to it I can give you wire colors and plugs and such..hope they made it easy for ya...

um... i know this is an old post, but i actually searched and was wondering what the answer is... i am looking to completely swap interiors from my red hatch to my silver hatch and i was wondering what is involved in replacing the manual windows/locks/mirrors with power.

go to best buy or circuit city and get actuators installed. I got mine for $80. Just for one door tho(drvr side) because when you open/close the drivers side the passenger side opens/ close also.

oh and i'd stay away from nissans power windows they wear out pretty easy.
