My short answer would be absolutely no, not within the realm of normal limitations (time, money, practicality).

Just look at one aspect, the CVT transmission - you'd have to replace this with a completely new AWD unit to accomodate the rear drive shaft to the rear wheels, this alone is around $5000, then you're still without any of rear-drive components including the drive shaft, rear differential and a long list of additional drive components.

The computer programming (TCM and ECM) is different for AWD and I'm not sure if it could be simply reprogrammed or require replacement, and a whole long list of other items like the fuel tank - it's different on AWD Rogue than FWD so it would have to be replaced.

If you had enough cash I suppose anything is possible in life, but if you want AWD that bad why would you consider spending $10,000+ dollars trying to upgrade your current Rogue when you could just trade it in on a new AWD model for much less, AND the new or used Rogue will have manufacturer warranty?

Agreed kerrton.

It would cost more to convert a FWD Rogue to AWD than it would to buy a new one!

Cars have become very complex nowadays with every system interconnected via computers. There is way more than just a few nuts and bolts!

Thanks... I can do it... but yea deff don't see myself spending my whole tax return on that.

I was opting on getting an armada however my rogue is at 60,000miles and worth $14k to the dealership and I only have $6k left over on my loan.

So I figure I wait another year for that armada HYBRID... saves me money also

Haven't had one thing wrong with my Rogue ever.

I really do want all wheel drive thou cuz yeah guys talk about Canada and such for snow and snow tires etc I got that from reading other articles. But any one of u spend a winter in new York... the BRONX to be exact... spend a winter in these snow storms... with these streets and hills... ha I see dudes get stuck in parking spaces. Without ALL WHEEL DRIVE in NYC ur stuck.

I don't know about an Armada hybrid, all the reports I've read indicate Nissan may be killing off the Armada completely. If you want one you may have to look for a good used one or consider the Pathfinder....as for hybrid, I'm not sure when Nissan will start to get more serious with implementing hybrid technology but I bet it will be less than 5 years. The problem currently is that they are using the Toyota hybrid system and paying out the nose for it I'm sure, they've reported that their own internally engineered system is almost ready to go which would allow them to make a better go at turning a profit I'm sure.

The Infiniti QX56 (which uses the Armada/Titan platform) has been killed off already, it's now based off the Nissan Patrol.

Nissan's in house hybrid system was introduced on the new 2012 M35h. It will be going on sale this spring. I expect this new system will appear very soon in the next get Altima (Possibly 2012?) and other Nissan/Infiniti vehicles.

Well I have 3 kids. One new one so I need a bigger truck. And I don't feel like riding around in something that kills gas like a suburban, or whatever. I have been with Nissan since my first car

02 max
04 altima
06 altima SE R
08 Rogue
If I can't atleast get a 2012 armada I might have to leave Nissan

Cuz for the size of the pathfinder I might as well get another rogue or marano

I saw that armada hybrid somewhere I can't remember where. But once they said 2012 that's what I been waiting for.

It's good to hear people interested in fuel efficiency, but an Armada hybrid makes me cringe when I think of the price tag on that baby!! In Canada, the regular Armada is priced between $55,000 to $60,000, if you add a hybrid sytem that would likely be pushing $70,000, very crazy.
