I would like to convert my pathfinder to a free rotating front hub, but no luck. Would love the extra power and fuel mileage, plus no longer turning the CV, front dif and transfer case. If no luck, I may pull the front CVs out and put them back in during the winter. Any ideas????

Thanks but these are for the previous generation Pathfinder, not the third gen.

hmm finally 1 thing they make only for r50's instead of everything else you r51s have that we have to custom make.

Just curious..does the R51 have a 4x4 shifter or is it push-button? If it's push, pretty sure you can't run manual hubs anyway. And how many splines on the axles on the new ones?

The thread title is a little deceiving: "Converting 4x4 05 Pathfinder to 2x2 manual hubs." It sounds like you're trying to turn a 4x4 Pathfinder into a 2-wheeled vehicle, it piqued my interest. You want your 4x4 to be a 4x2.

I haven't seen any manual hubs for the R51. I thought they were 31 spline but I could be nuts. Also, I think they're all push-button 4WD (or dial or whatever); I'm not sure if they're all AUTO 4WD though.

I am simply trying to acheive a free rotating hub. The newer pathfinders have selectable 4 hi, 4 lo and 2wd, but the front axles, dif and drive shaft between the transfer case and front dif are all being turned by the front wheels, which is unsat to me. The truck is much slower and is burning gas for no reason. It looks though like I have found a manual hub supplier from "Rugged Ridge" They said the hubs would fit through the stock wheels but I still need to get some more info.
