convertible top overide

i just finished swapping my sr into my new convertible 240, but i can't figure out how to overide the top so i can use it automatically. id imagine theres a neutral safety switch somewhere, but i just don't want to start ripping more of the car apart. any ideas?

The factory convertible was designed to only allow the top to be operated when the car is in the Park position and the parking brake engaged, but im sure you already knew that so are you trying to figure out a way to put the top up and down on command regardless of what gear your in???

Check the auto to MT conversion thread maybe? I think there's info in there on tricking the car to think it's always in Park.

ehanks, got it workin. soo much easier to push a button than to jump out and pull it up when it rains.
